This piece was completed during the second year of my college career. The assignment was to choose one of 10 typefaces and create a type specimen of that typeface family, showcasing the creator of the typeface, the history, the alphabet in upper and lowercase, as well as characters and numbers.

 

I chose Bodoni's typeface because of his work ethic and refinement. He worked very hard to build a name for himself and it shows through his work. His typeface in my opinion is one of the few serif typefaces that is timeless. His varied use of thin and thick lines gives each character a modern, clean feel.
